Here at Connect Church we have many teams that you can serve on. There will be a place for you!
Billy Graham, famous evangelist said “Take your eyes and your ears and your hands and your feet and your thoughts and your heart: Give them completely and unreservedly to Christ.”
Serving on a team not only helps meet the needs of the congregation, but fosters a sense of community, personal growth and spiritual development.
1 Peter 4:10-11 says, “Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God's grace in its various forms... so that in all things God may be praised through Jesus Christ.”
If you want to be connected into one of our teams, check out all the teams available below with information about each one, and join today!

Kāpiti only. This team works closely with Multimedia, Sound, Lighting, Worship, and the Service Producer to ensure clear, steady, and intentional footage that supports the flow of the service and enhances engagement.

We see the multimedia team carry the role of minimising distractions and creating an atmosphere that allows people to come and experience a seamless service on Sundays, in a busy and demanding world. When scriptures/points/other media are put on the screens, it allows people to engage specifically to the point being made and gives them a chance to take notes and grow in their walk with God. Will need to be confident using a Mac Computer.
-
Kāpiti only. Our Pack Down Team ensures everything is reset, stored, and closed properly after the final service. This team is the last to leave the building on Sundays, making sure every room is packed down according to the checklist and left tidy, secure, and ready for the week ahead. Their service is practical, physical, and essential.
-
Our Photography Team helps capture the heart and story of Connect Church. Through intentional, people-focused images, we visually show that Connect is a place where everyone belongs—whether they’re walking in for the first time or have been part of our church family for years. These photos help tell our story and are used across our social media platforms to reach and inspire our wider community.
-
Kāpiti only. The Service Producer oversees the coordination and execution of Sunday services, ensuring every element runs smoothly. This role manages service flow, technical components, volunteer coordination, and live problem-solving. Must be confident using sound equipment & programmes.

We warmly welcome people as they arrive and leave, ensure no one is overlooked, and offer direction and support wherever needed, helping to find seats and make sure everyone is comfortable.

Our Worship Team exists to lead our church in God-honouring, Holy Spirit–led worship. We create an atmosphere where people can encounter God, lift His name, and respond to His presence with faith and freedom. You will need to audition for the worship team. Muscians will need a good level of musical competency, as well as a good ability to read music and/or chords. Knowledge of the number system is helpful but we can teach this. Pitch control for vocals (the ability to stay in tune) is essential. Harmonies and dynamics are helpful.
